Foods and kidney disease

Just like Sodium Potassium it must remain balanced in the body. If the kidneys are not working well, it can potassium levels in the blood to rise. High potassium levels affect your heart rate, so your diet for the management of kidney disease may include potassium limit. Your doctor or dietician will let you know whether you need to avoid foods that contain potassium.
Potassium is found in many fruits and vegetables, legumes, nuts and dairy products.
